Business Development Director - Oxford Circus

JOB TYPE: Full-time SALARY: Negotiable DOE, uncapped OTE

Our client has been running unique, high-level networking forums for over 20 years within the tech, industrial internet, fin-tech, infrastructure, and utilities sectors - all growth areas!
 

They are now seeking an accomplished Business Development Director to build on their success.

The company’s ongoing growth is attributable to widening its range of forums in high growth sectors. In the past few years, it has increased from two forums to several, alongside additional offerings including bespoke events. The Company continues to grow and evolve through new partnerships, development of existing forums and numerous new opportunities.

The Role

Based in a bright, open-plan office just two minutes from Oxford Circus, you will be joining a successful team of 13 and managing around 20 events a year. You will act as an ambassador for the organisation’s name, brand and values and work closely with the CEO and Strategy Director to implement an ambitious growth plan.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing and executing a new business growth plan to increase revenue

  • Establishing and maintaining connections with key influencers and organisations

  • Assuming full P&L responsibility for membership revenue, including invoicing and undertaking in-depth reporting

  • Working closely with the CEO and Senior Management to support all areas of the business as required

  • Making a significant contribution to the overall strategic direction and leadership of the organisation

  • Developing events based on member feedback to inform strategy and heighten the customer experience

  • General management and motivation of team members

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience of sales and business development in the events industry

  • A proven track record of sales achievements that can be discussed in depth at interview

  • Must be happy to work within a small and close-knit team and be genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunities that come with joining a growing business.

  • Proven track record of developing, delivering and monitoring sales strategies and plans

  • Experience of customer relationship management

  • Experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with external organisations

  • Personable with excellent communication skills across all platforms - a true business networker skilled in bringing people together to share knowledge and experiences.

  • Flexible approach to work with an ability to turn your hand to most tasks

  • A solid and dependable leader who enjoys a challenge

Internal Sales Account Manager - Nottingham (NG7)

JOB TYPE: Full-time SALARY: £20,000 - £35,000 OTE

Our client are revolutionising the freight forwarding industry, going from strength to strength since their inception in 2014. Their success has led to huge expansion and in order to meet demand we're now seeking several ambitious Sales Account Managers to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a trainee Sales Account Manager position that offers the ability to be a key player in the success of the company and reap the rewards of a generous commission scheme and benefits package. The Role

You'll initially be tasked with profiling prospects over the phone, gaining insight and information about their freight requirements, whilst developing your knowledge of the freight industry. You'll receive in depth training and coaching as your role progresses into a Sales Account Management function; selling over the phone, optimising opportunities and managing a varied client base, whilst delivering a first class customer service experience. You'll have a clear trajectory for your first 24 months within the business and be rewarded with incremental salary increases and additional benefits as your skills and abilities develop.

What's on offer

  • Competitive starting salary with defined incremental increases leading to a £25k base within 18 months

  • Working hours Monday to Friday, 9am - 5 pm (no weekends)
